window in the winter.
12.11.07 (7:03 pm)   [edit]

winter

the pepper-flecked hair,
the tiny smoky teeth,
the tracing-paper eyes,
and the filth underneath.

(or the time we disagreed about whether the window would stay open in the winter)

We discuss whether the window should remain open in the winter. Despite that there aren't any grandparents above, trying to heat all of Canada, the habit still lingers. And runny, tickling noses and scratchy throats beg to be heard. :)

I open my window as soon as I get up, but we got a notice not to open the windows, because it could freeze the water pipes, and would cost us from 300 - 500.00... it's open even now!!!

I wouldn't open a window today. We had a horrible winter storm. Yikes!

aghhh, the doggy above is so cute. Talk about the window issue, the window in my room is almost always kept open in order to have my husband---a feline kind---come back and forth as he please even in winter.

I didn't realise there would be other window-openers around.
The houses on the streets I wander through are all so very closed.
If there were no other way for me to remember or recognise my own house, the open window of my bedroom would help me home.

Thank you all for looking and talking a little bit.
