Even though they are clearly not meant to be the focus here, I can't seem to stop looking at his hands. These are the things with which we "rebuild" and yet his look small and perhaps a bit gnarled from having been clenched in fists for so long. Instead, he pulls on the one thing he can get his twisted fingers around... and in the process destroys himself.
Fascinating.

Makes my tummy lurch. His body posture and hands remind me of portrait paintings from 16th century English monarchs I've seen in books.
