Amazing - this fetus/newborn actually looks quite healthy.
One wonders what truly provokes the first lusty cry?
Is it a way to clear lungs of nine months underwater -
or rather, an emphatic protest against modern humanity's
mindless absence of civilization ...

Til now I always suspected the former.
On further reflection, the latter's obviously the case.

"Til now I always suspected the former.

That seems to be the rather distressing truth about that moment.

Thank you for reflecting here.

I consider that quite an endorsement.

Thank you, Dawn.

hmm.. I'd like to ask for more thoughts, but perhaps that would be greedy of me.

;)

"Deadly; Not Amazing." D N A

Depending on one's perspective, turning people into bunches of chromosomes? I don't know... might not be too much of a good thing to force "nature" to conform to our wants, like we seem to be trying to do.

We may well end up throwing out the baby with the bathwater. (so to speak)

I'll have to be more attentive to the cries of angels, Whisper. No doubt I hear them all the time - but how often do I recognize their identity??

Cutter, it's helpful to have your clarification! From MICRO-analysis, I absolutely agree (DNA's micro, right?) However at the MACRO level, I'm betting on the resilience of the infant - just LOOK how strong and healthy is that kid's presentation. An APGAR score just looking at this image from my estimation is 8 of 10, (if I could count the newborn's heart-rate s/he might have 2more points ...)

With or without intention it seems that thejongleur has presented us with an infant messiah!!
