It's interesting, but I wasn't aware that there were rules for what a blog is supposed to be. Even just here at tblog, if you spend anytime rooting around at all, it's pretty clear that the word blog means different things to different people. To that end, when I saw this "comment" I clicked on what you call a blog, and I have to say, it certainly falls under the category of "random shit" (with special emphasis on the last word). The thing I love about this blog, and what I think others who come here regularly love too, is that the creator of this site allows his readers to react to his work in any way they wish. Rather than spoon feeding you what the pictures are about, he allows you to decide for yourself, which, admittedly, is not an easy task for someone with little imagination and even less intelligence. That said, if you're looking for a 'blog' that's a little less challenging, may I suggest http://irishred.com. I'm thinking that's more your speed. j posted by: SpleenGirl (reply) post date: 06.17.05 (2:27 pm) Reply to: ChuloeyC I am truly amazed that you would walk in here and lay such idiocy into print. You've got to be KIDDING me. It's really too bad that the 'Idiot's Reaction' blog has been disbanded. You would be a perfect fit for the next installment. In fact, I'm thinking you might be the perfect reason to bring it back. By the way, I had the misfortune of seeing one of your recent conversations on tblurt. Since your big achievment in life is clearly to boost some no name up to the top of some meaningless chart, it's pretty clear that having worked up the nerve to comment on this blog must be your crowning glory. Oh, wait, the intelligent and articulate Juniperflux has convinced me this isn't bravery at all, but rather sheer stupidity. I guess you are still looking for that dare-to-be-great moment. Might I suggest McDonalds? I hear they're hiring. As for random defecation... let's hope your parents didn't post such into the world before us. Be sure to say hello to Irish for me. posted by: lindy (reply) post date: 06.17.05 (2:41 pm) Reply to: ChuloeyC 1) Why do you feel it is appropriate to walk into someone's blog and use profanity? 2) Why do you feel the need to express your rude or less than flattering opinion? Did someone convince you that it matters? 3) Have you considered that what you see in this blog is happening on a plain that you haven't even begun to see, much less reach? Do you comprehend what I'm getting at here? 4) Since you have decided this is, in fact, not a blog, perhaps you would care to enlighten us as to what exactly a blog is? I look forward to hearing from you regarding each of these topics I've brought up. posted by: jennjr (reply) post date: 06.17.05 (3:54 pm) Well, I had something to say to ChuloeyC, but you've all beat me to it. May I just say this? Bravo! posted by: Lindy (reply) post date: 06.17.05 (8:22 pm) Reply to: jennjr Hey, Jenn! No, please... feel free. I imagine whatever you had in mind, even if it is phrased a little differently, reflects how you feel about the passing familiarity left here by this person who may not have bothered to think before opening his mouth. If you have something to say to ChuloeyC, knock yourself out! It's an open blog and the author seems most gracious in allowing us to stop by and speak out minds freely. :) Go on then, out with it! haha! posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 06.18.05 (11:52 am) I've heard it said about particularly beautiful women that their faces could "launch a thousand ships." To that end, it's clear to me that Barry's face could prompt at least that many stories. One part genius, another part madman; one part philosopher, another part innocent; one part mystic, another part casualty... I see a little bit of all of us in Barry, not to mention more than little of that something we all seem to lose along the road to adulthood. As I stare at him now, I like to imagine the conversation we might share peering over piles of dusty books in some forgotten corner of an ancient, wheezing library... only to discover much later that all the time, he'd really been talking to himself. (Far better company, I would imagine). At any rate, forgive this mindless chatter, but your drawings tend to bring out the babbler in me. As always... I marvel at the way you see the world. posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 06.18.05 (11:54 am) Reply to: lindy We're all waiting anxiously to hear your take on Barry. Holding out is strictly forbidden. *wink* j posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 06.18.05 (12:01 pm) Reply to: SpleenGirl "the intelligent and articulate Juniperflux" Lovely. Perhaps I need you to break out the old rusted spoon for a certain someone who compared me (in age) to Maude in the post above. Normally, I'd consider such a comparison to be quite the compliment, but I'm fairly certain that in this case the commenter was trying to get a rise out of me. So... do you accept contract work? *wink* posted by: lindy (reply) post date: 06.18.05 (9:28 pm) Reply to: juniperflux Hahahahaha. That SpleenGirl is something else, eh? Hmmm... that Maude reference... it's all so fuzzy now... can't be sure... hmmm.... I'll have to get back to you on that one... got a Barry story to write. ;) By the way, SpleenGirl is apparently available for weddings. She comes with a place setting of 73... rusty spoons of course. posted by: juniperflux (reply) post date: 06.19.05 (8:30 am) Reply to: lindy Hmmm. Not to harp on a subject that truly deserves no more attention, but I find it somewhat noteworthy that the our awkward little peddlar of "random shit" has yet to return to dazzle us with a thought provoking defense of her/her recent actions here. Apparently she's either protecting her spleen or has followed our links to a less challenging location. j posted by: lindy (reply) post date: 06.19.05 (6:44 pm) Reply to: juniperflux hahaha. Well, can you blame them? I imagine that wandering into a blog and laying down such an embarrassing legacy is bad enough, but to have the mistake run into the ground by a group of razor sharp quick wits... well, *I* certainly wouldn't come back. |
